PGH Chapter May 2026 Presentation

Objectives:

  1. Provide a foundational overview of IVF- General review of IVF process and policies
  2. Review specialized IVF procedures- Outline procedures for patient management during egg retrievals and embryo transfers.
  3. Examine complications and potential errors- Identify potential risks/errors during IVF procedures and laboratory handling with potential complications.

Bio:

Victoria Carey was born and raised in the Chicago area and currently resides in the city with her husband. Victoria has over 14 years of diverse clinical nursing experience, including a background in inpatient telemetry, ICU overflow and surgical trauma. Her most recent clinical experience spans 3 specialty areas: outpatient peri anesthesia, multimodal pain management, and in-vitro fertilization specialty procedures. Throughout her career, she has found the greatest fulfillment in serving as a mentor and preceptor to others. Most weeks she is fueled by travel, tennis, coffee, and an impressive number of open tabs across her devices.
